It's that time again - today is the first day of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (Early Access)! As if you hadn't heard... ;) I know this sale is talked about a ton, but it really is for good reason - there's incredible deals on so, so many things. Need vacation buys? No problem. Looking for some beauty steals? You got it. Want to stock up on designer buys for future months? There's TONS. I'm starting to sound a little like Ariel (haha get it? It's early, cut me some slack) but the point is it's worth shopping or at least checking it out to see if there's something you want to get! Hint: there will be.
Some years are better than others merchandise-wise, but from what I'm seeing this year so far there's a TON of really cute and fun picks. I'll be sharing more of my favorites, things I think you guys *need* to see/shop/may miss at first glance, re-stocks and a ton more during the course of the sale, but I always like to start off by sharing everything that catches my eye right away - AKA the things that are 99.9% likely to go the fastest! A lot of things get re-stocked through the course of the sale, but some things (specifically some designer/brand name items) won't. So act fast, get a cup of coffee and start shopping!

Memorial Day is such an important day to honor our great military, and I love rocking red, white and blue while doing so! It's also the unofficial start of summer and such a fun day to spend with friends and family honoring those who have served for our country. These picks are perfect for the day and for all summer long - I love looking patriotic! There's also some really incredible deals and steals going on this weekend and I've rounded up the best ones so it's a one stop shop!
Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had an amazing, relaxing Christmas weekend - I had such an amazing holiday and I'm still sort of in denial that it's over! If you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw yesterday that I'm not ready for Christmas to be over... So this entire week will still be treated as a holiday. ;) I mean it technically is a holiday week still; we're less than 7 days away from a new year! Anyway - the Nordstrom Half Yearly sale started yesterday and it's on now through January 2nd. It's genius for Nordstrom to have this sale right after Christmas because everyone is trying to find good deals in the post-holiday shopping rush *and* there's holiday money to be spent!! Here are my favorite things I've found from the sale; and be quick because things are selling out fast!
First off, I hope everyone has had an absolutely amazing Thanksgiving! I spent the day with so much of my family and SO much food. I have a lot of walking/bag carrying to do to burn off all of the food I've eaten in the past 24 hours! ;) There is so much to be thankful for and I know it may seem like shopping the day after giving thanks is sort of contradictory, but it's still so much fun and such a tradition! I'm rounding up some of my favorite sales - and there's a LOT of them this year! There's so much going on, it's hard to keep track! I usually go out late Thursday night into Friday morning, come home and sleep for a few hours, then get up and ready and head out again to more stores! I just can't get enough of it, I love nothing more!

If you haven't had a chance to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale during it's early access days, you're now in luck! The perfect start to a Friday if you ask me! The sale is now opened to the public and everything has been restocked. It's also a great time to try and get your hands on anything you may have missed out on during the early access period! My orders are starting to roll in and I can't wait to share the fun things I've bought for the home, for the rest of the summer and for the fall. The best part is realizing how much you saved on designer items and ones that you may not have let yourself splurge on if they weren't on sale. If you're a card holder or part of the reward system, you can gain 3x the amount of reward points! It's actually a great way to shop because you'll start earning Nordstrom Notes. I've gotten a couple of notes during this sale, and I'm so excited because I have close to $200 in "notes" now to put toward my next purchase!
I also have to share just how amazing the Nordstrom customer service is... A few days ago, I found an area rug I absolutely loved and it strangely didn't have a size with it; I was going to the Nordstrom I shop at that day and they didn't have it in the store, so I used their live chat and long story short, the rep told me she would contact me if she could find out what size the rug was. To my surprise, I got a phone call today from the exact representative I spoke to telling me the size! I've always known how good the customer service was (I wrote a Fund. of Management final paper on it my junior year of undergrad and got an A+ ; ) let me know if you'd like to read it!!), but not this good.
Anyway, back to shopping - it's the start of the weekend and everyone deserves to treat themselves when there's a sale as awesome as this one! Let's dive into the best of the sale:
Award season may be ending, but spring, warm weather and major sales are here!! The Bloomingdale's Friends and Family has started and there are SO many great things you need to snag from this sale! Although some of my favorites like Tory Burch and Kate Spade are excluded, I've still found a couple of really great things to get ready for the warmer months.
Especially with Mothers Day coming up, graduation season (hint hint to any family reading this! ;) and such, this is the perfect time to stock up on presents too! And lets be honest, even though some of the best brands aren't included in this sale, the element of surprise and happiness always sinks in when you realize something you're looking at is included in the sale!

This week is also the Bloomingdales Friends and Family sale!! Here is what I'm loving from the sale:
TGIF!! I could not be happier that the weekend is here! I also couldn't be happier that there's some crazy awesome deals and sales going on! Veteran's Day sales are going to be coming up, but my mom forwarded me an email yesterday from Neiman Marcus Last Call and they are having THE BEST sale ever. There's 20-50% off of everything on the site and they have so many brands and amazing things to choose from.
I know, I know it's a liiiittle early for holiday shopping... but when you've already started listening to Christmas music nothing is too early! I've even been able to pick up gifts to start my holiday shopping with this sale which is super exciting. I always start holiday shopping early because I have a lot of people to buy for and also because I love to buy gifts! This is the busiest time of year for most of us, so getting a head start on holiday shopping for yourself and for everyone else in your life will cross one of many stressful tasks off your list! I have a bin in my closet that I put all gifts that I buy into over these holiday months and it really helps me to be a bit more organized when gift buying. I always write myself notes on my phone when I think of something that I want to buy someone and this helps to stay organized too. Buying gifts for the holidays can be stressful in trying to get everything in time and not forgetting anything all while staying in your budget. Plus, shopping early is an excuse to shop which I love, naturally!
