Even if you're one of the girls who loves to dress up and spend time putting together trendy outfits each season - we all have our days where we either don't have the time, or the energy... Or just really want to put in minimal effort and still somehow look cute. And I'm here to tell you that it IS possible ladies! ;) I love picking out and planning outfits but some most normal days I find myself wanting to be comfortable but still look put together. Even if you're not normally lazy, we all have lazy days (don't fool yourself! ;) and even then, you can still look like it took you hours to get all dolled up! How to Recreate NYFW Looks

Fashion week in New York may be over, but it's still fashion season across the globe and right now more specifically in Paris! Oh how I wish I could be in Europe right now for that! There were so many trends on the runway and across the shows that I saw and loved, so I've been looking through store selections to find similar pieces to style. Whether the designer version just isn't available for purchase yet or you're looking for something similar, there's ways to find them! I just know that one of these days I'm going to wake up and fall is going to hit me in the face, even though the weather has been so beautiful! As much as I love summer and warmth, fall clothes shopping has to be my favorite. Each year I always find some staple pieces I want to add to my wardrobe and this season especially, there's already been some really fun things out there. Even though I hold on to every last bit of warm weather and sunshine possible, I am excited for fall and all of the fun clothes and accessories that come with it! Save vs. Splurge: Summer Edition

This is my first save vs. splurge post, and I really don't know why I didn't make one sooner! These are so fun - I love finding designer dupes and it never fails to amaze me how many dupes are available for super expensive items. Some things are definitely worth the splurge, because it's no secret that higher quality items (that, yes, cost more) will last longer. That being said, there's still tons of ways to save! Since we're in late summer now (how in the world did that happen?!?!) I wanted to round up some great summer finds, and share their "cheaper twins" as I like to call them! There's definitely things you should splurge on, and what's wrong with treating yourself every once in a while? ; ) Each trend usually has a ton of different priced options and I'm so excited about the dupes I found for some of my summer favorites:

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Smart Shopping Tips + More Favorites

If you haven't had a chance to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale during it's early access days, you're now in luck! The perfect start to a Friday if you ask me! The sale is now opened to the public and everything has been restocked. It's also a great time to try and get your hands on anything you may have missed out on during the early access period! My orders are starting to roll in and I can't wait to share the fun things I've bought for the home, for the rest of the summer and for the fall. The best part is realizing how much you saved on designer items and ones that you may not have let yourself splurge on if they weren't on sale. If you're a card holder or part of the reward system, you can gain 3x the amount of reward points! It's actually a great way to shop because you'll start earning Nordstrom Notes. I've gotten a couple of notes during this sale, and I'm so excited because I have close to $200 in "notes" now to put toward my next purchase!
I also have to share just how amazing the Nordstrom customer service is... A few days ago, I found an area rug I absolutely loved and it strangely didn't have a size with it; I was going to the Nordstrom I shop at that day and they didn't have it in the store, so I used their live chat and long story short, the rep told me she would contact me if she could find out what size the rug was. To my surprise, I got a phone call today from the exact representative I spoke to telling me the size! I've always known how good the customer service was (I wrote a Fund. of Management final paper on it my junior year of undergrad and got an A+ ; ) let me know if you'd like to read it!!), but not this good.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Early Access Favorites

As you probably already know, one of the best sales all year (and definitely for Nordstrom...) starts today! If you're a Nordstrom card holder, you can access the Early Access sale now through July 21st. Then the sale will open to the public so if you aren't a card holder, check out what you'll be able to buy in a week! ; ) There's so many amazing things that this sale has to offer and I feel like every single page has more and more things you'd never expect. Since this sale is so big, I figured I would break it down into different posts and share different categories of items. I was shopping bright and early and I was so excited with all of the things they have this year - there's so many new items marked down for summer and fall! I broke down my favorites that caught my eye at first for these summer months and what I'm loving for the fall that's new:

On Trend: Shirtdresses + Wedges

One of the many trends of the summer (that's been around a while, I know): shirtdresses! I love the way they look - short sleeved, sleeveless, 3/4 sleeves; they're so flattering and there's so many styles that everyone looks good in them. I love the way they look with wedges the most. Shirt dresses paired with wedges is one of the classiest looks for summer and it can easily be a fun day outfit turned classy night look. I love the classic styles just as much as the newest designs with patterns, different sleeve lengths and embellishments. When a shirt dress can look feminine, you know it's an asset to your closet! What to Wear to a Summer Wedding

Little black dresses are usually my go to (and I think everyone can agree with that) for special occasions but I love finding fun colored and patterned dresses in the summer and especially for weddings! Wedding season is in full swing and with every invite you get, you can expect the who what and where but the "wear" is sometimes questionable. Anytime that someone asks me what my favorite monetization tool is when it comes to blogging, my answer is always ShopStyle Collective. Not only have I had a ton of success with Shopstyle, but it's also really fun to use and with features constantly being added, they really never fail to disappoint. Summer Outfit Inspo from J.Crew

When it comes to clothes, I'm usually pretty opened to shopping places and looking for pieces I love regardless of the store. I have my favorite stores; but I've learned to be opened about finding fun things I love too! That being said, there's a handful of stores that never disappoint and constantly sell timeless pieces and things on trend. J.Crew is one of those stores for me; I could shop there all day every day and never get bored or tired of what they sell! It's also nice knowing that everything you get from J. Crew is a quality piece that will last such a long time. I have a few button downs and vests that have been in my wardrobe for a good 4-5 years now and still are perfect; condition wise and style wise.
This summer, there's so many new trends to try and repeat trends that are becoming timeless. Currently Craving: May Must Haves

I know this sentence comes out of my mouth every single time I do this post each month, but I SERIOUSLY cannot believe another month is over! This has been an awesome month; I graduated, summer started, I started planning some fun things for my blog and for summer and the weather is heating up which means I can finally put some of the new things I'm currently craving (see what I did there? ; ) to good use!
Shopping in the summer in-store is one of those things I LOVE, it probably sounds so strange but there's nothing I love more than walking into a cold, air conditioned mall from the sweltering heat outside and shopping all day! By far one of the most satisfying things if you ask me haha! Since I've had a couple of big parties to go to this month and Mother's Day and my mom's birthday (which was this past Sunday - happy birthday, ma!), I've had a lot of shopping to do and I've seen lots of new, fun things just in time for the heat. Our pool is finally opened, the weather is finally hitting the upper 80's every day and summer is in full swing!

11 Shoes Every Woman Needs in Her Closet

If there's one staple item that every woman should own, it's a good pair of shoes. Let's be honest, there really is nothing more fun than shoe shopping! There's so many different kinds of shoes to pick from for each season and even for different occasions. I'm a firm believer that adding investment pieces to your wardrobe is one of the best things you can do; the higher end bags, shoes, jewelry, etc. always last a life time and are true assets to your closet!
Some shoes are just classics and not only does having a classic shoe in your closet make it easier to get ready for the day or night but it gives you so many options and you know that you'll always have something no matter what you have planned. Summer Ready: Trending Heels and Wedges

If I had to name one thing that I love to buy the most, it would no doubt be shoes. I'm a shoe addict and cute shoes are the one thing I can never say no to! Comfy and casual are the best, but nothing really can beat fun pumps or wedges in the spring and summer. In New York, it's difficult to wear cute shoes in the winter because of the snow (trust me... almost died trying to trudge through snow at a wedding in December!) so getting as much use out of my cute shoes when I can it is!
This season I've been finding more cute shoes than I can possibly keep up with and I have a serious new found love for Sam Edelman this season. Wait until you see - seriously, to die for!

Mother's Day Gift Guide

We're getting closer to Mother's Day and I'm realizing I need to get to shopping! There are always so many fun gift ideas, but this year I think I've hit the jackpot with fun ideas. I hate feeling like I buy the same things for people over and over - especially for Mother's Day - so coming up with new things is important for me, but also can be really hard. My mom is probably the least picky person in the world, but I find her hardest to shop for always! Anyone else?! My favorite thing to do for Mother's Day is to put a gift basket together with a bunch of fun things in it. I try and stick to a theme, but that usually doesn't work (shocker..)

Versatile Spring and Summer Looks with Devlin

I've been shopping at Nordstrom and Dillards for Devlin clothing for a long time now and they never fail to disappoint! The spring and summer collections always feature the most beautiful clothes and they're fun for so many different ages too. My little sister is 16 1/2 and since she's been going to tons of parties like Sweet 16's, etc., I thought it was time that she had a chance to experience how amazing the Devlin clothing is too. Since Devlin is available at both Dillard's and Nordstrom, we've been able to find tons of Devlin clothing in the mall near us - the best part of the store(s)!
Girly prints, colors and textures are what Devlin is all about. Quality and chic are two things I look for in my clothing and what I've tried to do in helping my sister find some cute clothes too! Here's one of the adorable looks we put together:

Go-To Looks for Spring

There is nothing I love more than the beautiful spring weather and the cute clothes there are for spring! I think this is the best time of year to dress cutely because it isn't too hot or too cold and there are so many possibilities. Playing with colors, mix and matching patterns and trying new trends are the best part of outfit styling and there's no better feeling than finding a piece that you know will be timeless in your wardrobe! Award season may be ending, but spring, warm weather and major sales are here!! The Bloomingdale's Friends and Family has started and there are SO many great things you need to snag from this sale! Although some of my favorites like Tory Burch and Kate Spade are excluded, I've still found a couple of really great things to get ready for the warmer months. Especially with Mothers Day coming up, graduation season (hint hint to any family reading this! ;) and such, this is the perfect time to stock up on presents too! And lets be honest, even though some of the best brands aren't included in this sale, the element of surprise and happiness always sinks in when you realize something you're looking at is included in the sale!

Currently Craving: March Favorites

Somehow, it's the end of another month and time to share my favorite products of the month again! Seriously, where is time flying by to?! I feel like I was just writing about my February favorites yesterday and now March has come and (almost) gone. This month has involved a LOT of products I've tried and have loved and ones I'm still dying to try too - I think it's mostly because spring has finally sprung and it's calling for some serious wardrobe and closet updates! I love trying new things for new seasons, so there's a lot of things I'm loving right now.
There are so many new trends for the warmer months and most brands are releasing new things - whether it be clothing, accessories or makeup, there are a ton of new products that are swoon worthy and must-tries and must-haves! Easter Outfit Inspiration

One of my absolute favorite holidays is Easter. Between the meaning of the holiday, the excitement of seeing family and dressing up, it's such a fun Sunday! Ever since I was little it's been a huge deal in my family and picking out my Easter outfit was always and still is my favorite part. It's also pretty much the unofficial start of Spring if you ask me - the first time we can wear cute, warm weather clothes - even if it isn't that warm out! I'm hoping for a beautiful day this year though.

Spring Scarves: The Easiest Accessory Trend

If there's one trend that never gets old and can be so versatile, it's scarves! Blanket scarves, skinny scarves, gauze scarves; there are so many styles and ways to wear them that they work for basically every month of the year in every kind of weather. My scarf collection is constantly growing; I have two of these scarf organizers hanging in my closet that keeps my scarf collection organized and I'm pretty sure I could find one there to match every single outfit combo in the world. I love accessorizing with them in the spring and using a cozy blanket scarf to keep me warm in the winter and still look cute.
Since spring is upon us, it's usually still too cool to wear sandals and tank tops but perfect for capris and a short sleeved tee or a thin, long sleeved shirt. My perfect spring outfit is a tshirt, crop jeans, espadrilles and a pretty scarf! It's amazing that such a simple piece like a scarf can change the whole look of an outfit and can be styled in so many different ways, but I think that's exactly why they're becoming more and more popular.
