10 Healthy & Delicious Late Night Snack Ideas

The struggle is SO REAL when you're cozy on the couch, relaxing and watching TV and you're hungry. At 10 pm. Already had dinner and can't believe that you're actually hungry... That's me a LOT of the time and I know I'm not alone! Eating at night isn't necessarily as bad as you may think - or it doesn't have to be anyway. I know all too well that to eat healthily, you have to find something you REALLY enjoy that'll keep you from going to all of those heavy, carb-filled leftovers you have in your fridge, or that big bowl of ice cream that is calling your name. These are the best late night snack ideas I've tried and have regularly, but also ones you can go to during the day to stay healthier too! For me, the key is eating in moderation and not totally depriving yourself, but when you do indulge, find ways to make it not so bad. Here's my top 10 go-to snacks for when I'm craving something delicious late at night!

Energizing Mixed Berry Banana Smoothie Bowl

Thank you to FoodScience of Vermont for sponsoring this post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are solely my own.

Let's talk breakfast. What do you have each morning? If your answer is "I don't", me too. I've never been a big breakfast person and haven't ever liked traditional breakfast foods... Some call it crazy, but it's never been my favorite, hah! Ever since moving my daily workouts to the mornings, I've craved something refreshing post-workout and getting ready for the day. Smoothies have always been one of my very favorite things for any meal or time of day, so having a smoothie each morning has made me realize what I've missed out on all these years by not eating each morning - go figure right?! So around 11:00 AM each day, I make one of my favorite smoothie bowls and it gets me - and my day - going for REALS. The only thing better than discovering the power of 3-4 servings of fruit each morning is that it can come with a daily dose of a much needed, natural source of energy.

Happy Wednesday! Halfway to the weekend... but the goal is to stop saying that and enjoy the moment - who else agrees?! I've always said that as a "way to get through the rest of the week", but I'm really trying to change my mindset. Mentally but also physically; I want to feel better in more ways than one and I want to get motivated to be a better version of me. And more than some of that #NewYearNewMe B.S., it's more of a lifestyle change.

So, cue Wellness Wednesdays! I'm motivated to have more energy and feel better physically and mentally - the overall goal is to live a healthier, more positive life and I truly believe getting fit is a HUGE step in that process! Every once in a while (and on a Wednesday, obvi... ;) I'll share another edition of Wellness Wednesday and each will be filled with a different kind of motivational-inspo. (If there's any specific topics you want me to include, let me know!!) I've been at this for a few weeks now, so I thought sharing the tips that have helped me to stay motivated to get up, get moving and motivated to workout and make a change would be the perfect place to start. Here's some really simple things you can do to make that change - and trust me, it feels GOOD!
