Sephora Beauty Insider Spring Event: What's Worth (re)Buying + What I'm Trying

One of the very best sales of the year is here! If you're a Rouge member, you've been able to shop since last week and if you're a VIB or Beauty Insider the sale has officially opened to you too! I placed an order with some new things I wanted to try last week so that I could share them in this post and I'm excited about a lot of them so far. I've been out of so many things I regularly use for quite a few weeks now and have been anxiously waiting for this sale to start to re-purchase them - this sale is that good!

Here's the sale breakdown... Through 5/6:

Rouge Members: 20% off with code HEYROUGE
VIB Members: 15% off with code HEYVIB
Beauty Insider Members: 10% off with code HEYINSIDER

Now onto the fun stuff! ;)

1. BELIF True Cream Moisturizing Bomb: I started using this in place of my forever favorite, the Clinique Moisture Surge, just to try something different and because I felt like my skin was craving something new. I LOVE it. I still love the Clinique and would recommend it, but this is a great moisturizer and feels so lightweight on your skin. A little bit goes a very long way!

2. REN Skincare Stop Being So Sensitive Kit: ok so, this skincare line has changed my skin. If you've read any of my beauty posts, you know that I deal with occasional redness on my cheeks, and I'm always trying new things to try and combat it. Granted, it's worse in the winter and now that it's warming up weather-wise, it isn't as bad, but it's still there and I still hate it! This Stop Being So Sensitive skincare line has helped the redness and is a must try if you have sensitive skin. There's full-sized products available for everything in the kit, but I'd recommend trying this set first because it's $28 (can't go wrong), gives you a chance to try everything and see if it works for you, AND the bottle sizes are very generous. You can get at least a month's worth out of every product included.

3. Origins GinZing Refreshing Scrub Cleanser: if you like the smell of oranges/orange juice, this is THE cleanser for you. I never have been so obsessed with the scent of a cleanser before trying this out. It's so good! I use this as my morning cleanser - it's super refreshing and makes my face feel so clean.

4. Pro Filt'r Setting Powder: this is the first FENTY beauty product I've tried and I have to say, I'm very impressed. My sister loves the FENTY foundation and loves it, too, if you're looking to try that! I love that this powder really does give a "blur" effect - makes your makeup look flawless!

5. Origins Super Spot Remover: in my whole life, I have been blessed to never have dealt with acne. For the past 8 or so months, I get the occasional small breakout on my chin and it is THE most annoying thing in the world. I'm in the process of trying just about everything I can, including everything my dermatologist has recommended, but this stuff is magic if you have a blemish you need to quickly get rid of. Quick note - it IS drying, as it's meant to be, so be sure to only put it on the spot you're trying to dry out! I put it on at night after I do my skincare routine and by the next morning it's usually almost gone. It's a small bottle for $18, but a little goes a long way and it does last a while.

6. La Mer Moisturizing Soft Cream: this is something I wait for the sale each year to re-buy! I know it's a real splurge, but it really is worth it. Whenever my skin acts up, after getting too much sun, when I'm feeling a little extra dry... This stuff always comes through. It's not something I use nightly, which is why it's worth the money to me IMO, but it's definitely worth it. If you've been on the fence (like I was for a while before eventually caving and trying it, lol), it's worth it.

7. NARS Liquid Blush: I've never really been much of a blush person just because I always prefer really minimal makeup, but after trying this liquid blush, I'm a real blush-believer (that's a thing, right?!) and I think I figured out why I never liked blush - I'm not a huge powder person. I know everyone is different, but this liquid blush is everything I wanted and more in a face product. I feel like I say it a lot, but a little bit goes a VERY long way. It's the most beautiful color (I get the "natural finish" shade!) and elevates your look, no matter how minimal.

8. BELIF Aqua Bomb Sleeping Mask: I have used this every. single. night. for about 3 months now and I cannot stress enough how good it is. If you buy ONE thing from the sale, it has to be this. I wake up to baby-soft, glowing skin every morning. It's incredible and feels SO good when you put it on! It doesn't replace your moisturizer, but goes over it and that's what originally sold me on this product. Couldn't recommend it enough!

9. Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi Sunshine Drops: if you want to look like you've spent the last three days basking in the warm sun on a boat, get this. It gives such a beautiful, natural glow and is literally the only face makeup I wear on a daily basis. It's pretty sheer in terms of coverage, but that's what I prefer - and it mixes with your moisturizer. It's SO GOOD.

10. Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter: while I don't wear foundation on a daily basis, I do if I have a special event/occasion, a night out, etc. and this is the foundation I reach for. It really is like putting a filter on your face! It's not technically considered a foundation, since you can use it as that or just a highlight or "complexion booster", but it has the most beautiful finish and buildable coverage. It's worth every penny, and especially so when it's on sale - it sells out a lot too so take advantage!

11. Blotting Papers: it seems sort of silly to include these, but they're something I ALWAYS re-buy and I stock up while they're on sale, even though they're only $8! I just keep them in all of my bags, travel with them, use them daily - even if you're not especially oily (I'm not but get the occasional shine), they work really well to keep your skin looking matte all day long.

12. Mario Badescu Facial Spray: believe it or not, you could easily use this as a setting spray. It's SO cooling, what I use on every single flight I take, and all summer long. Oh, and it's $7 (!!!).

13. REPLICA Under the Lemon Trees Roller Ball Perfume: I'm not a daily perfume wearer, but when I do wear it, it's almost always a Maison Margiela scent. It's too good and this new Under the Lemon Trees scent makes me feel like I'm in Italy, lol! It also makes for a really great gift and these roller balls are the best way to figure out what scent you like the most before buying the bigger, more expensive bottle.

1. COOLA Sunless Tan Dry Body Oil: this intrigued me to try because it's a dry body oil instead of a tanning mouse - I've used a mouse before, but it always stresses me out that I'm going to miss a spot or look streaky so I'm excited to try this dry oil!

2. Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Finish Setting Powder: I got this to keep in my travel beauty bag this summer - I used it once since I've gotten it in and so far, so good!

3. Farmacy Honeymoon Glow Resurfacing Night Serum: are you one of those people who reads a million reviews before trying a new product?? I am and hopefully I'm not the only one, lol! That being said, the reviews are what sold me on trying this product. A few people mentioned it making a huge difference in hormonal acne, so I'm trying it out! I'll report back once I've used it a few times - the best thing about Sephora is their return policy, so if this looks like something you want to try, I'd get it while it's on sale and if you don't end up loving it, return it!

4. Cover FX Power Play Concealer: LOVE how lightweight this concealer is! I'm always on the hunt for a "holy grail" type of concealer and still haven't found the one for me yet. But this one is pretty high up there so far - it's very light but provides really good coverage.

5. REN Evercalm Overnight Recovery Balm: since I've been using the BELIF overnight mask mentioned above, I haven't tried this out yet but since I know this brand works so well for my skin, I cannot wait to try it out!

6. NARS Orgasm Lip Tint: this entire line is almost too good to be true - so so so excited to try out this lip tint! I know the color is perfect so I can't wait for it to arrive!

7. Boscia Rosewater with Witch Hazel: one of the things recommended to me for my occasional breakout issue was witch hazel, so I'm trying this toner out! So far the only thing I've noticed is the smell and how good it is - you don't expect "witch hazel" to smell good (at least I wouldn't!), but this smells like roses and it's amazing.

8. U.F.O. Face Oil: best thing about this is it comes in a mini size that's half the price so you can try to make sure you like it before committing! So excited to try this face oil, because again, it's meant to help clear your skin and it has AMAZING reviews.

9. Laneige Lip Glowy Balm: I love a really pretty pink or red lip, but my personal preference is something lighter and more shiny than pigmented - at least for on a daily basis. I love the Laneige Overnight Lip Mask, so I figured this would be a hit and for $15 I figured, why not? It's quickly become one of my favorite purchases from this sale - it's BEAUTIFUL and perfect for everyday while also helping to hydrate your lips.

10. Amika Hair Detangler: I feel like I can never find a great hair product that I love to detangle and help keep my hair looking and feeling healthy, so this is the next up on my list to try.

11. Renewed Hope in a Jar Glow Drops: a must have product if you want to achieve a really healthy, natural glow without wearing a lot of makeup or using a highlighter. This is EVERYTHING.

12. Pineapple-C Brightening Serum: I got this to add to my morning skincare routine - and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't drawn to it because of the pineapple shape of the bottle HAHA. But really, Vitamin C is so important for your skin and it's a great serum to add to your morning routine!

13. Dior Black Out Mascara: normally, I'm not very picky with mascara. I feel like there's a lot of good ones, but everyone is so different so it's hard to find one that's really a "perfect" mascara. I had two friends recommend this to me so I'm excited to try it out!

14. Slipsilk Scrunchies: I sleep with my hair up in a bun almost every night and in hopes of preventing the damage that regular hair ties cause, I'm trying these out to sleep in! First impression: VERY soft yet work well to hold my thick hair up!

What are you buying from the Sephora sale?! Anything new I should be trying?

  1. Totally agree with you on the laneige lip balm!! They're my favorites! I also really want to try those Slip scrunchies!

  2. we have lots of the same goodies! i still haven't tried la mer - trying to convince myself it's worth the cost. curious what you think of the new glow recipe serum - i tried last night and the smell is..... interesting.

  3. So many good picks! I'm obsessed with the Mario Badescu spray! So good!

  4. So many good products! This time around for the sale only bought a primer- but in past Beauty Insider event s I've definitely really stocked up!

    xoxo A

  5. I’m only an Insider for now but i love the breakdown of these items! My personal favorite is the Drunk Elephant!

  6. The Honeymoon Glow is also on my list. I've ready so many reviews on it too and can't wait to see what you think!

  7. Origins scrub is amazing! I want to hear more about the Dior mascara once you try it! I am always on the hint for a good mascara.

  8. I have to tell my sister about this sale because she loves makeup. Even more than me!

  9. I LOVE this sale! I actually restocked on my Origins GinZing cleanser too!

  10. I almost got the Fenty Blurring powder but I read some reviews and they weren't that great. Maybe I will try it soon! I went all out for this sale getting a lot of new products. I did get the Lip Glowy Balm and the NARS Lip Tint! Can't wait to try all my stuff out!

  11. I am the same way I haven't been picky about mascara in the past. However, I love getting recommendations so this is perfect! Thanks for sharing! :)

  12. I'm always down for a good makeup sale...it's time for me to update my colors anyway!

  13. The hope in a jar glow drops are amazing. I love the Sephora sale!

  14. Thanks for breaking these all down! I've been curious about the Cover FX concealer so might end up giving that a go. I also LOVE the nars liquid blush. It is so so good.

  15. I always wonder about these things! Thanks for the suggestions!

  16. I'm not sure yet! I really want to try the Laneige lip balm.

  17. I love Fenty! I had no idea Sephora sold Mario Badescu :)
