Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Best Early Access Finds & Things That Will Sell Quickly!

Christmas in July is here! If you're a fan of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, you're no doubt loving today! It's such a great sale and this year is one of the better ones product wise in my opinion. I've been searching high and low for the very best finds for the past week and as I always do when this sale starts, am sharing the top picks and also the things that I think are going to sell out quickly. That's not to say they won't come back into stock, but if you've shopped the sale before, you know that there are items that sell out within minutes of the sale going live!
The best part about Nordstrom is their free shipping/free return policies - even if you plan to shop in-store, if there's anything you know you want to get your hands on, I highly recommend ordering it as soon as the sale goes live so that you don't risk not finding it in-store or it selling out online! I end up making at least a few orders with things I hadn't seen in-store, or items in a couple of sizes, and just return what I don't want. There's nothing better than trying things on in the comfort of your own home in front of your own mirror!

Important Nordstrom Sale Dates to Know:

7/12-18: card-members shop Early Access in-store and online
7/19-8/4: sale opens to the public

If you're not a Nordstrom card holder, you can apply for a card here. It is required to shop the sale during Early Access, but if you don't have one/don't want to apply for one, there will still be lots of great finds to shop when the sale opens to the public in a few weeks! Don't stress it!
Side note: something that I'm sure is obvious if you've read any of my blog posts before - I am a complete summer-holic and will savor every moment of hot, sunny weather as possible. It kind of makes me crazy to even think about sweaters and boots, but this sale really is a great time to buy for the next few seasons. The good news for all of my fellow summer lovers is that while the sale is mostly filled with the newest pieces from a variety of designers, there ARE still some great summer-season finds! I'll be sure to share lots of those too, but I wanted to start by sharing the top items that I know a lot of people will be wanting to get their hands on. So if you're not ready to think about cardigans and hats, don't worry because I'm not either - focus on it for a little and then resume your normal summer programming. ;)

1. Colorblock Cardigan: last season, stripes were the hottest buy everywhere and it looks like that's going to hold true this year as well! I LOVE the way these large, colorblock stripes look and this color palette is sooo pretty. Reg. $98 / Sale Price: $64.90
UPDATE: softest cardigan ever. Worth every penny!

2. Leopard Print Cardigan: similar to stripes being a huge hit, there is LOTS and LOT of animal prints included in this sale! Leopard print and snake skin galore. Seriously. This is a really cute cardigan and I do think it'll sell out pretty quickly, but to be honest I'm kind of worried that it's going to be itchy. Hopefully not, but I'll report back! 3. Barefoot Dreams Throw Blanket: THIS WILL SELL OUT!!!! If you've been eyeing this blanket, have waited for it to go on sale, need a good gift idea or all of the above, get this ASAP. It always is included and always sells out during the Anniversary Sale! It comes in a couple of different colors and this year there's a few patterns too - here's all of them (and for real, don't wait!) Reg. $180 / Sale Price: $119.90

4. Plaid Flannel Coat: at first glance I knew this was going to be something I wanted to try on! I love how different the colors are and really can you ever have too many cute coats?! Reg. $145 / Sale Price: $96.90

5. Snake Skin Perforated Booties: my favorite part about these booties in particular is that they're GREAT for the early months of all when it's that "in-between" temperature. Reg. $139.95 / Sale Price: $89.90

6. adidas Sneakers: you can NEVER go wrong with adidas when it comes to sneakers! They always are the best comfort wise and these are so cute, love a good white pair of sneakers! I expect these will sell pretty quickly too so get a hold of them ASAP! Reg. $85 / Sale Price: $63.90

7. Colorful Striped Sweater: this sweater is going to sell out, for SURE. There was a similar striped sweater during last year's sale and it was one of the best selling items during the entire Anniversary Sale! I love how soft it looks and these colors - just too good! Reg. $69 / Sale Price: $45.90

8. Striped Cardigan: I showed this to my mom the other day and she said, "don't you have that?" LOL. I definitely have a bit of an addiction to striped sweaters and cardis! LOVE how cute this one is - it'd look adorable with jeans and a tank top or even denim shorts or a denim skirt! It comes in more neutral colors too if stripes aren't your thing. 9. Cozy Fleece Pullover: here's another find that will definitely sell like hot cakes! These became so popular last year and they're back, thank God! ;) They're so cozy and the BEST basic if you ask me. Reg. $78 / Sale Price: $49.90

10. Leather Moto Jacket: here's one of the investment pieces I'd consider buying during the Anniversary Sale! A leather moto jacket is such a classic, staple piece that you'll always have in your closet and will reach for more than you think. I absolutely LOVE how this particular jacket has a removable hood - it makes it be so versatile, wear it more sporty with the hood and a little bit more dressed up without it. 11. Knee-High Leather Boots: have you ever seen such a beautiful shade of cognac leather boots?! The chunky heel is the best part! Reg. $224.95 / Sale Price: $149.90

12. NARS Lip Gloss Set: a set of lip glosses like this for such an incredible price ($39!) is too good to pass up! This is a great idea for a gift too if you have any birthdays or events to shop for coming up. Reg. $96 / Sale Price: $39

13. Pleated Leopard Print Midi Skirt: everything about this skirt has me ready to add to my cart as soon as the sale goes live! It's BEAUTIFUL. It also comes in black if leopard isn't your thing - again, a great staple piece that you can dress down or up and will get tons of use out of. Reg. $119 / Sale Price: $78.90

14. Striped Crewneck Sweater: here's another striped sweater that will likely sell out super fast! The neutral colors with the small pop of pink - too good! Reg. $68 / Sale Price: $44.90

15. Leather Loafers: I bought a similar pair of loafer mules during the sale two years ago and have worn them OUT! There's so many colors to pick from - I'll try them on in-store tomorrow and come back to share sizing and fit! Reg. $149.95 / Sale Price: $99.90

16. Snakeskin Crossbody Bag: THIS WILL SELL OUT IMMEDIATELY! I have never seen a handbag like this before, have you?! It's so unique and beautiful! Get yourself one! ;) Reg. $299 / Sale Price: $199

17. The North Face Anorak: I love this so much I may need to get it in the all-black color, too! It's such a perfect outerwear piece and this green/pink color combo is sooo different. Reg. $90 / Sale Price: $65.90

18. Nike Epic React Flyknit Sneakers: one of my very favorite pairs of Nike sneakers is a part of the Anniversary Sale and I am SO EXCITED! Trust me when I tell you, these sneakers make you feel like you're walking on clouds. They're incredible and so is this pale blue color! They also come in a gorgeous hot pink/coral shade that you have to check out.

19. Zella Live In Leggings: believe it or not, I've never really been a huge leggings fan. I'm not sure why but I've always gravitated more toward yoga styled pants - they just are more comfortable for me! Last year during the sale I tried these on in-store and fell in love. I can see why everyone loves them and they're always in and out of stock, so get yourself a pair (or two!) while you can for such a good price! Reg. $59 / Sale Price: $38.90
