Happy Friday! The long weekend and unofficial start of summer is here and I could not be more excited! Don't forget to thank a service member this weekend and take a minute to remember those who have passed fighting for our country - after all, they're the reason we're here to be able to enjoy some fun in the sun and kicking off summer festivities! Memorial Day is such an important day to honor our great military, and I love rocking red, white and blue while doing so! It's also the unofficial start of summer and such a fun day to spend with friends and family honoring those who have served for our country. These picks are perfect for the day and for all summer long - I love looking patriotic! There's also some really incredible deals and steals going on this weekend and I've rounded up the best ones so it's a one stop shop!

Stars, Stripes and Sales: Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day is one of my favorite holidays throughout the year and while the barbecues, days in the sun and awesome sales are a bonus, it’s so important to remember just exactly why we get to celebrate Memorial Day. Being thankful for all of those who have served our country comes first - everything else is second. And thanks to our military both who have served and are serving, we get to enjoy a fun weekend celebrating our soldiers and this great country to officially kick start summer!
Luckily in New York we're having AMAZING weather - it's so summer-like finally in the high 80's and super sunny! I love going to the beach to kick start the season, but I know how crazy it's going to be since we're having such gorgeous weather so heading out early to the beach is going to be super important - I probably should have left like, 3 days ago! ; )

Memorial Day Ready!

Memorial Day is one of my favorite holidays - it reminds me so much of summer and unofficially begins my favorite season! It's always a wonderful day to remember those who have served our country and to recognize those who are serving. It's also a fun day to gather with family and friends, have a BBQ and hang out by the pool! This year in NY it's supposed to be a gorgeous, warm and sunny weekend so I'm super excited and wanted to share my look for this years Memorial Day festivities!

I found this adorable maxi dress as a part of the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale!!! This sale is one of the best there are - there are SO many amazing things that are up to 40% off! So many awesome products at such great prices! I also am loving straw hats this season. They're so much fun and there are great styles for all! Another amazing find from the Nordstrom sale are these Alexander McQueen cat eye sunnies. They're such a gorgeous color and with 40% off they are way too good to pass up! By the way, if you're looking for some cute swimwear check out the H&M styles. They have some really cute pieces this season and are super affordable!
