What NOT to Forget on Your Next Trip (...and probably will!)

Thank you to UpBra for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are solely my own!

No matter how early - or late (guilty) - you start packing for a trip, you're bound to forget something every. single. time. It always happens to me no matter how many lists I make or how organized I feel like I am. Real talk - packing is SO stressful! I think part of it is the stress of having to fit everything, stay under the 50lb weight limit and check everything off of your list at the same time. These are the things you likely have forgotten before on a trip; if you're getting ready to travel this summer, make sure these are at the top of your list!

1. Towel(s)

Call me crazy, but I ALWAYS pack my own towel when I go on a trip... I like having my own shower towel and not having to rely on having enough clean ones in the hotel room. It seems like it's bulky and just takes up room, but if you line your suitcase with your towel it won't take up much more room at all!

2. Extra memory card

This is one of those things that it's better to have and not need, than need and not have. It's unlikely you'll fill an entire memory card in one trip but you never know! ;)

3. Strapless/Convertable Bras

Ok ladies, this is a big one - when you're packing, you're trying to stay under the weight limit and leave room for all of the necessities - or what we call necessities, hah! Bras can be hard to pack and they take up room in your suitcase so having a few that you can wear with multiple outfits is a must. Luckily the UpBra Convertible Bra is a 2-in-1 and can be worn with straps or without! The best part is it's just as comfortable worn strapless. #bless

Packing a convertible bra is something you likely forget time to time too - how many times do you buy and bring a new dress with a pretty, open top - or one that's strapless - only to realize you forgot a strapless bra?! I think 9/10 times I travel I forget a strapless bra. It's a serious issue and I don't know why, but the point is, the Convertible UpBra is a must have in your suitcase! It has ActiveLift technology in it which helps lift you up and make your cleavage work with anything you're wearing and they have allll of the neutral colors you need.

I think the reason that the Convertible Bra works so well when worn strapless is because of the grip that's placed on the inside of the bra - it keeps it in place the entire time you're wearing it and I have never had that happen with any other strapless bra! It's so nice not having to adjust the fit or pull it up; I know I can't be the only one who has that problem! It also has cleavage control straps on the inside so you can adjust how much of a push-up you get.

UpBra has a ton of styles, but the Convertible Bra is THE best because of how many ways you can wear it. It's an all-in-one and a must have for every vacation! The straps can be worn 10+ different ways making any piece of clothing look flawless on. Never have I had another bra that lets you adjust the straps, cleavage control and fit as well as the UpBra does. It truly changes the way you feel and present yourself!

P.S., find the DIY to make a pom pom hat like mine here!

4. Laundry Bag

This is especially essential if you're traveling to more than one destination, but either way it keeps your luggage organized and keeps your dirty clothes away from the clean. I almost always forget to bring one but a laundry bag is a must have! If you do forget one, check the hotel room for a stocked plastic bag or use one from a purchase you make during your trip.

5. Converter(s) with the correct wattage

This one is HUGE. It's one thing to remember to bring an adequate amount of converters if you're traveling internationally; it's a whole other thing to make sure you bring the correct converters. They vary country to country, but the wattage varies also. It's sooo important to think about what you'll be plugging in where so that you don't A.) fry your hair off by using the wrong converter with a curling iron and B.) blow your laptop with a converter meant for something much smaller in wattage. There's so many variables but as long as you match the wattage of the devices you'll be using to the converters you buy, you'll be good to go! And it's something you want to bring one or two extra of in the wattages you'll be using the most just in case something does happen to one of them - you don't want to get stuck in a foreign country not being able to use one of your hair products/laptop/charger, etc!

6. External drive

I always bring my external drive on trips for work purposes, but also because it's so important to have a backup at all times! After each day on a vacation I back my pictures up to my external, just in case something is to happen to my camera and/or memory card. You don't want to risk loosing the memories you're capturing and again, better safe than sorry!

7. A copy of your passport

While it's unlikely you'll lose your passport or ID, it CAN happen and it also is a total nightmare to deal with. Photocopying your passport and remembering to pack it is also probably the very last thing on your packing list, but it's worth having with you AND kept in a separate spot that you keep your passport (well, duh... ;). Just in case your passport gets lost or gets stolen, you'll thank yourself for having a copy and won't have to deal with finding/visiting/dealing with the embassy in which ever country you're in. It's worth adding to your packing list for your upcoming trip - don't be THAT person, hah!

8. Instant Stain Remover

Tide to Go is my SH*T. Such a must have for not just trips you take but everywhere you go, basically! Laundry is likely a hassle (if it's at all possible) where ever you're staying, but having a Tide to Go pen will save you numerous times. Another one of those things that you wish you had in so many situations!

What's something YOU always forget on trips? Also, have you tried the UpBra yet?! They also have an awesome swimwear line with the same flattering, push-up technology. It's pure genius and the perfect time to add a new bathing suit to your collection that you actually like putting on! It's a game changer - let me know if you try it out!

  26. I like these tips especially about your own towel. I never really thought about that before. I reuse those fabric, drawstring, bags that some Target sheet sets come in for my dirty laundry. Works so well and I feel good about reusing them. Plus they can also be tossed in the wash!
