Easy Ways to Re-Adjust to a Busy Schedule this Fall

Thank you to adidas for sponsoring today's post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are solely my own!

Doesn't it seem like as the summer winds down, the fall and winter months leading into the holidays are always the busiest and hardest to re-adjust to? It's freakin' hard to go from a relaxing summer filled with time in the sun, traveling and beach trips to a full schedule and heavier work (or school) load! If you're finding it difficult to get back on track, these tips have always helped me to regain my focus and hopefully will help you too before the fall really sets in.

Get back on a solid schedule

When I think of summer, I think of staying up late, sleeping until 9 AM, living in a bathing suit and flip flops and traveling around the globe. It's my very favorite season and one that doesn't normally require a strict, set schedule - more of a go-with-the-flow kind of season, you know? ;) Anyway, the sooner you get back on track and on a decent schedule, the better off you'll be. It's hard at first but giving yourself all the time to adjust and ease back into it will help quicker than you'd think.

Write everything down and use your planner

While I use my planner year round, I always notice how much more filled in it is from September through May... And then June through August are sort of sporadic, hah! Get back to planning and writing things down and making your to-do lists daily. The quicker you get into your routine and the less you are likely to forget to get something done, the better!

Eat healthier than normal

Even if you're normally a healthy eater, seasonal allergies and the constant up and down with the temperature can make things much more difficult when you're trying to re-adjust to your "regular". Eat lots of fruits (especially pineapple!) and veggies, and have a spoon of honey every day. It's a miracle worker!

Stock up on your favorite athleisure buys for busy days

I love dressing up as much as the next girl, but let me tell you. There is NOTHING I love more than finding cute new athleisure-wear and workout clothes to LIVE in. Especially as the weather changes, and on a busy day whether it's getting things done at home or when lots of errands are on the to-do list. My go-to outfits are usually the comfiest (figures, lol!) but they can still be super cute!

adidas has the cutest clothes, shoes and accessories and they have everything you need to stock up on seasonal faves! I just got a bunch of new workout gear in that I'll both be wearing daily and during workouts. These workout shorts are the absolute best to run in and wear when you're just hanging out inside, getting things done at home! They're so affordable and great for so many things. You can never go wrong with an elastic waist band!

This mesh-back crop top has gotten so much use this past summer, I know I'll be wearing it a ton during the fall too! I bought a couple more because it's my favorite to workout in. Getting your normal workouts in, even when you're trying to re-adjust to your schedule, will help you stay on track big time. It's on sale for $18 right now! And speaking of getting your workouts in, what's your favorite workouts to do?? I live for my morning runs, but lately I've been trying to pack in an extra workout during the day or in the evening to help keep my energy up! There's a video going around Facebook with easy workouts to do from your desk during the work day with your desk chair... Kind of cool and different! Lol!

The best thing about all of the adidas clothes and shoes is how versatile they are! You can be more sporty or more casual, but either way you can never go wrong with athleisure. ;) It's no secret that handbags and shoes are my weakness, including cute sneakers. I see buying lots of sneakers as a necessity, don't you think? Great for travel, obvious for working out perfect for wearing out daily, etc! These white Pureboost sneakers are currently 50% off (!!) and my absolute favorite white sneakers! They're like walking on clouds and you could easily go all day wearing these and be completely comfortable.

Out of everything adidas has out right now and that I just got in, this mint green zip up hoodie is MY FAVORITE EVER. The color is perfect, it's soo soft and cozy, fits slightly oversized so it can be layered and it's great for transitioning into the fall weather and throughout the year as well. It comes in a bunch of colors and it's such a staple piece to add to your wardrobe. It even has pockets so you can hold your phone, headphones, ID, keys; whatever you need when you're working out and running errands.

De-clutter and make room for new things

Every season, I try and get rid of things - donate, throw things away - and organize any messes (even though it feels like there always is some kind of mess in my house!) going on. I clean out my desk, go through my beauty and makeup product drawers and organize my closets. This may seem like a strange way to re-adjust yourself to your normal daily schedule but I know it can't be just me who feels like she can get way more done if everything is in its place!

How are you preparing yourself for the new season? Be sure to shop the latest from adidas - you guys are going to love all of their latest new arrivals!
XOXO -A
