What to do to Keep Stress from Messing with Your Skin

This post is sponsored by Bioré, but the content and opinions expressed here are my own!

Something that I've learned over the past few years (AKA since having to adult... coincidence? I think not!) is that stress can affect just about everything - mood, health and especially our skin. Combine added stress with hormones and you have a recipe for disaster on your hands. Most of us have a great skincare routine that we can count on each day but what happens when it's just not enough? Or when your skin is craving something new? I look for a lot of things in my skincare products and am super picky with what I put on my face, but I also know that there's much more that goes into the appearance of your skin and how to handle what stress can do. And when I need to get my skin back in check, it's all hands on deck!

Best Skincare Finds Under $50

Even if you love a good dupe and love to save where ever you can (who doesn't?) there's some things you should spend the extra money on, one of them being your skincare products. I'm a firm believer that you should buy what's best for your skin and individual needs and if it means spending a little extra to get something that really makes a difference, then it's worth it. That being said, there's so many great and affordable skincare products out there that don't break the bank, even if you are looking for a "holy grail" product that you'll love and that's going to do your skin wonders! These picks are all under $50 and are worth every penny:

Everything You Actually Need to Heal a Sunburn

Even when you do everything possible to prevent a sunburn and to protect your skin in the sun, there's still always that one time (for me it's always in the beginning of summer) that all the SPF in the world doesn't help... It happens, and although you should always be re-applying sunscreen in the sun, it isn't foolproof!
A couple of weeks ago I was floating around in my pool and it was a super hot day - I had applied sunscreen but didn't re-apply enough - especially with how hot it was out. By the time mid-evening rolled around my legs and shoulders were burning so badly and the aloe was helping, but not as much as I needed it to... My sister told me to try (what sounded like) the most insane way to help make it feel better and at first I told her she was nuts, but by the next morning... WOW. Here's everything you need to heal your sunburn ASAP:

The Best Skincare Products to Travel With

Thank you to PRIMP and LaFlore for sponsoring today's post! As always, all opinions are my own.

There's two things I really will never get tired of - traveling, and trying new skincare products. If you've been around here for a while, you know how much I LOVE to try different skincare brands and see what works best, what addresses specific needs the best and which I'd recommend the most. For the most part, I stick to a skincare routine morning and night but this always can become an issue when it comes to traveling. I always take whatever products I'm currently using on trips and the looks I get from airport security sometimes - I tell ya! Ha!

When I started testing out LaFlore's skincare line, I was extremely excited because using it's probiotic technology, it's only a three step process. That's just three bottles to pack in your travel bag - no more struggling to pack 4578 different bottles when you're going on a trip, and that's a huge game changer if you ask me.

Luxury Skincare on a Budget: Paula's Choice Skincare

Thank you to Paula's Choice and PRIMP for sponsoring today's post! As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that support me!

This weather is seriously starting to take a toll on my skin - here in New York, it's been freezing and snowy for a week but before that it was warm, sunny and totally spring-like for weeks! Now it's mid-March (I'm sorry, HOW is that possible?!) and we just got over 25" of snow - there's another 1-3" coming on Saturday night, and my skin is screaming for some sunshine, warm weather and craving the outdoors! I'm super serious when it comes to putting together a great skincare routine and it often changes, which is why I talk *so* much about different products I love. When the season/weather changes I always try new things to accommodate my skin, and my go-to to do so is always Paula's Choice. They have the best, high quality products that are totally affordable; they're non-irritating, 100% fragrance free, never tested on animals and offer coupons - this spring your skin will suffer no more! ;) Here are some of my favorite Paula's Choice products for spring:

Skincare Must Have: Clarisonic Mia 2

I try a LOT of different skincare products - moisturizers, exfoliants, toners; you name it and I've likely tried it or have it on my list. There's some things that have become "holy grail" products, some that I've hated and some that I like but could live without - and I love trying them! If there's one thing I expect and absolutely NEED from a skincare product, it's to have my face feeling fresh and clean after using it. If not, I know it's something I'll never use again. Enter the Clarisonic Mia 2. Obsessed, guys!!

BeBe and Bella Skincare: Probiotic Beauty

photo Bebe and Bella - newest skincare line_zpse3ykpmcf.jpg
This post has been sponsored by Bebe & Bella on behalf of the PRIMP Network. All thoughts/opinions are solely based on my experience.

The only thing better than trying new skincare lines is trying a new skincare line at the start of a new season! I'm completely obsessed with trying new things and I'm always looking for the best products to share that are worth the time/money and ones that I truly love. The fall in New York has started out pretty chilly - I'm talking low 40's at night and frost advisories! It's kind of hard to believe since just a few weeks ago, it was still reaching 86 each day. With the quick temperature change, my skin hasn't really been adjusting well... It's been red and dry and I've been needing something that works more efficiently for this kind of weather change than my normal favorites.

I've take probiotics before but I've never taken them as a part of a skincare routine. I was so excited to try these BeBe and Bella products, and after about 2 weeks of trying these out - I'm so excited to share how it's going!
