The Best Back to College Amazon Finds

When I was still in college I'd have an extensive list of things I needed both before a new semester started and during - I'm a very organized person, but the stress of it all made it feel like I wasn't! Between my four years of undergrad I've learned a lot of what you really need and what you don't as much as you think you will - so if you're heading back to school next month, check out these finds all available on Amazon Prime that you need to get!

1. Personal Keurig Coffee Maker: make your coffee whenever you want it and as many cups as you need! ;) I love this personal-sized Keurig and all of the fun colors it comes in!

2. Velvet Hangers: these are the best hangers because no clothes fall off of them! It drives me crazy when I open my closet and a shirt falls off the hanger but with these they won't, and it's a good way to keep track of your own clothes if you have a roommate.

3. Rose Gold Beats: two words- noise cancelling. These are a MUST have. It doesn't hurt that they're so pretty!

4. Packable Umbrella: it's always good to keep an umbrella in your bag/backpack for walking around your campus - rain, snow, it'll have you covered without taking up much room since it's so compact.

5. Insulated Water Bottle: the perfect way to keep your water cold all day long, especially important if you have a full or busy day! I love this pretty opal/iridescent bottle - it's gotta be cute right?!

6. Planner: having a planner seems pretty obvious, but having a planner that REALLY works for you is sooo important. It makes such a huge difference and that goes for life in general too, not just college students! There's hundreds of different brands and layouts out there but you know how you plan, so finding one that works the way your mind works is ideal. The set-up of this planner is my idea of perfect - it goes by weeks and has a lot of writing space.

7. USB Fan: this little fan is one of my favorite Amazon purchases ever! I use it daily at my desk, and I think it'd be great for college students to have in their rooms - you can also plug it into the wall and keep it by your bed.

8. Dual USB Port Wall Charger: when outlets don't come easy - or often - make due and get something like this! It's genius because you can plug in multiple cords at once and they're small/easy to carry around. This is great to travel with as well!

9. iHome Mirror: an iHome and mirror all in one! Dual functionality and a fun way to play music. I wish I had one of these sooner!

10. Portable Steamer: this is another item that is also great (and a must have, really) when traveling. I use and swear by this steamer all of the time! At home and when I'm away because it's so compact and easy to carry/travel with, which also makes it great for small spaces. I personally prefer steaming my clothes over ironing anyway, so it's a win-win when it comes to living at school!

11. External Drive: if I could stress any one thing to not just college students, but anyone, about technology it'd be to have MULTIPLE backups. Nothing sucks more than losing files/pictures. This is the drive I use daily and back everything up on. It can be a little more expensive if you get the bigger size(s), but it's worth every penny!

12. Waterproof Shower Tote: big enough to fit all of your shampoos and body washes, water resistant so you don't have to worry about it getting ruined! And another product that can be doubly used - it'd be great for the beach as a waterproof beach tote also.

13. Portable Printer: let me tell you, you'll be SO glad to have a printer readily available rather than having to go to the library to print something out. Before I got a printer when I was in college, I'd be going to the library and leaving 10 minutes before I had class to get an essay printed and stressed that I wouldn't get there on time... blah blah blah. Get your own printer, it's worth it. And this is a great deal for a great printer!

14. Laptop Sleeve: this is probably a given but having a great laptop case that fits in your bag or is easy to carry around is a must! This one is affordable and compact but still protective.

15. Slipper Sandals: I LIVE in my slipper sandals 24/7! Hah! I even travel with them because I hate being barefoot (especially if I'm not in my own home) and these are comfy enough to want to walk around in. They're so cozy!

16. Colorful Pens: I was a SERIOUS note taker in high school and college - I think it's because I love to be organized, but especially so in college I'd color coordinate my notes and it always helped me big time. I've passed that onto my sister and she does the same now too! And if you're not still in college, you can still get these pens because who doesn't love getting new stationary?! Lol!

17. Bedside Pockets: everyone really needs one of these, not just college students! This caddy fits between your mattress and bed frame and just hangs over neatly while holding all of your things - remote, phone, iPad, notebook, etc. It's genius!

18. Brita Water Filter: instead of buying or storing water bottles constantly, get a water filter like this one and constantly have it filled up. Then you can re-fill your water bottle throughout the day!

XOXO -A
